Tampines Rovers Enter Strategic 3-Year Partnership With J1 League Standouts FC Machida Zelvia

Tampines Rovers Football Club have announced a landmark three-year partnership with J1 League side FC Machida Zelvia, in a strategic move designed to accelerate the Stags' growth into becoming one of the best clubs in Asia.

Machida Zelvia's own story is one Tampines Rovers know well. Once a modest club with limited resources, Machida have risen to become one of the most formidable teams in Asia - a transformation underlined by their run to the AFC Champions League Elite Final last season, and mirrored by Tampines’ own successes in the AFC Champions League Two with an undefeated group stage (5 wins, 1 draw).

Guided by their vision of "Taking Machida to the World", the club is now seeking to strengthen its presence and recognition across Southeast Asia, and, fittingly, comes in the year marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore.

For Tampines, the partnership is about learning from that blueprint, and at the heart of the agreement are joint programmes and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the football business domain, covering what it takes to build and run a high-performing football club, alongside the creation of new business opportunities both in the region and beyond.

As part of the tie-up, the CyberAgent logo will also appear on Tampines Rovers' Singapore Premier League jerseys. CyberAgent is the Japanese internet and media conglomerate that owns FC Machida Zelvia, and whose backing has been central to the club's rapid ascent in Japanese football.

Tampines Rovers FC Chairman Shungo Sakamoto said: "Machida Zelvia has shown what is possible when ambition is matched by structure, discipline and long-term thinking. We want to take everything we can from their experience and apply it here in Singapore, so that Tampines Rovers grows into a bigger and stronger club that Singaporeans can be proud of."
