ACL Two Pre-Match Press Conference | vs Shanghai Shenhua

The AFC Champions League (ACL) Two returns, and Our Stags are ready to write the next chapter.

Drawn in Group G alongside reigning Emperor's Cup champions FC Machida Zelvia, Chinese Super League 2025/26 runners-up Shanghai Shenhua, and five-times Cambodian Premier League champions PKR Svay Rieng, Tampines Rovers face a challenging group as they look to build on their unbeaten Group Stage campaign in the 2025/26 season.

First up are Shanghai Shenhua. Like Our Stags, Shanghai is a club steeped in history, with a proud tradition of success. With the continental compaign getting underway, Our Stags will be looking to make a strong start and set the tone for the journey ahead.

On Domestic League Win and the Next Match

Nazri Nasir: It was a good win against Balestier Khalsa in our last game (in the Singapore Premier League), but this is an entirely different competition. All the participating teams in the ACL Two are among the best in their own leagues. Shanghai (Shenhua) is a very good team, but I'm confident that the boys will do well to get a win.

On Game Preparations

Jacob Mahler: The boys are all excited and we have prepared well for the game tomorrow. I don't think any motivation is needed because it's the (AFC) Champions League (Two). We want to play at this level, and we have to show that we can compete against the best.
