ACC Shopee Cup Pre-Match Press Conference | vs Công An Hà Nội

It is the final Group A fixture of the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup. Following a 4-1 setback against reigning champions Buriram United, the Stags sit fourth in the standings, with qualification for the semi-finals still within reach.

Tampines Rovers travel to Hanoi to face last season’s finalists Công An Hà Nội (CAHN). This encounter marks the first of three meetings between the two sides in February, with the Stags set to renew the rivalry in the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League Two.

Similar to Tampines, the V.League 1 leaders’ qualification hopes depended on certain results in Group A. While the Stags can still mathematically qualify to the next round, the focus remains clear for them: control what can be controlled.

On Match Objectives

Robert: We have been preparing well, and we want to secure a place in the semi-finals.

Glenn: We always go into games wanting to collect the three points. It’s not every time that we get to play a side like (Công An) Hà Nội. So, I’m sure the players are ready, and we’re going to give our all tomorrow.

Robert: We take one game at a time. But we will give all our focus towards the (ACC) Shopee Cup game tomorrow first.

On Players to Watch Out For

Glenn: I do know a few of them because of the clips that we have seen of their playing styles. There are a few players that are very important for (Công An) Hà Nội such as Léo Artur. But again, we shouldn’t focus on their players individually because they are tough when they play together. So, we should evaluate them as a team as compared to focusing on individual quality.
